This speaks for itself. WHOOPS (a few people did message me saying they had suicide down for “other”). That said, I think suicide may be a little too descriptive when describing Walt’s death. But of course what do I know. Notnadia and a friend of mine both said it was hubris that killed Walt and that seems a little more fitting. But good job to the 63.8% who guessed he would die and shame for the 37.2% who guessed otherwise!
Bring it on, Breaking Bad finale. Bring it on.
Great episode tonight.
Need a gif of Todd grabbing that lint off Lydia’s blouse though.
I’m sure this has been posted a ton of times, but here’s a full list (with screenshots) of the different guns used in Breaking Bad, including the menacing M60 that was seen in S5E1 (above). As the wikipedia article says, it takes 2-3 people to operate the M60. SO.
The results are in! After working tirelessly day and night, we present the results of the 'Breaking Bad - The Fate of Walter White’ survey. Check out the shiny charts and graphs above! Controversy abounds!
I just assumed everyone else assumed that Walt was going to die. Clearly, that is not the case as the numbers tell a different story. That said, if Walter does in fact die, the probability is that either Jesse or cancer will do the deed.
Here are some fun takeaways from Male vs. Female responses:
- Females are significantly* more likely to think Walter will die.
- Males are significantly more likely to name Hank as Walter’s killer and, interestingly, females are significantly more likely to name Skyler as Walter’s killer.
- Males are significantly less likely to name cancer as Walt’s killer.
And some more cool results regarding age related responses:
- The older the respondents are, the less likely they believe Walt is going to die (with some outliers).
- All seven age groups have nearly identical responses as to whether Jesse or cancer will eventually kill Walter. The exception is with 18-24 year olds who, when compared against any other age group, are nearly twice as likely to believe Jesse, not cancer, will kill Walter.
*possible spoiler below*
After last week’s creepy as hell, episode ending scene between Hank and Walt, I’m curious as to how people might answer now? Is Walt going to knock off Hank? What say you? Discuss!
*statistically significant (hopefully, I think)
Soon, he knocks.
Alright people, last chance to fill out your ‘Breaking Bad - The Fate of Walter White’ survey! I’m closing it down about an hour before the show airs. GO!
Thanks to everyone who reblogged/posted the Breaking Bad survey “The Fate of Walter White" thing I put up yesterday. We have about a thousand responses, which is actually way more than I expected.
I’m seeing a lot of consistency in the answers, but I need another thousand responses just to be sure (because there are a lot of surprises about Walter and his demise, or lack thereof, and I need statistical significance).
Five questions, thirty seconds, and share, share, share!
The first of the final eight episodes of Breaking Bad premieres on August 11th. It seems that Walter White is clearly on a path towards imminent death, or is he? I consulted tumblr TV editor notnadia who says his death is certainly not imminent.
That said, I am linking you to a simple five question survey regarding this topic… Will Walter White die, and if he does, how?
What we’re shooting for here is a ton of reblogs. As in tens of thousands. Post it to twitter, facebook, email it to people, make sure your grandmother knows. And crucially, we’re looking for thousands of responses, across multiple platforms. Can tumblr more accurately predict what will happen to Mr. White than those fools on Facebook? I’ll pool all the answers once we know his fate and publish them here with an in depth analysis.
You get the idea. If you’re reading this, and like Breaking Bad, then spend the next sixty seconds posting the link everywhere and anywhere.
After watching TWO episodes of Breaking Bad, #notnadia is SURE that Jesse is going to KILL Walt. She may be an editor of the television tag, but whatever.
She’s wrong. WROOOOONG. The cancer will kill Walt and that’s that.
